1. Document the issue, including dates, times, names, etc.

2. Follow-up with the merchant concerning the issue, as soon as possible after receipt of the product or service.

3. Be prepared, with written notes, details, etc. when calling the merchant.

4. Always try to speak to the most senior person available.

5. Follow-up with the original manufacturer that supplied the merchant, when appropriate.

6. Be polite, but very firm.

7. Be honest and sincere.

8. Be very persistent.

9. Document all action taken, people called, dates, times, what they said.
